No One Hurt After Fire Damages House In Marion

No one was hurt after fire damaged a Marion house Sunday afternoon.

The call came in around 3 p.m.at 2905 McGowen Blvd. KCRG-TV 9 reports when firefighters arrived the home was engulfed in flames.  Crews were able to quickly put the fire out. The home sustained fire and smoke damage to the outside and attic. 

The house next door also had siding damage due to heat.  Three people in the burning house were able to get out of the home. Several cats were also inside and were not hurt.

Investigators determined the fire was caused by a gas smoker.
