It was a busy weekend for Cedar Rapids Police. They continue to investigate after a woman was sent to the hospital following a shooting in northeast Cedar Rapids.
Police say the 23-year-old woman was shot by a 24-year-old man at the Oakland Court and Gardens apartments Sunday morning. Police say the man fled the scene and is still on the run.
Police are also investigating after two people were hurt after a police chase through Cedar Rapids. Police say they were pursuing a car early Saturday morning when it left the road and hit a house in the 300 block of 19th Street Southeast.
Two people in the car were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Charges are pending.
