An investigation is underway after an officer-involved shooting happened in Boone over the weekend.
According to information released from Boone Police, officers responded to a 911 call of a domestic situation at 620 2nd Street in Boone on Saturday.
Police say they arrived on scene and encountered a man, who was later shot and killed by officers.
Neither the name of the man nor the officers involved have been released.
The Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation has been called in to assist with the investigation.
Police say the incident is under investigation and more details will be released on Monday.
