AUSTIN, Texas – Over three hours of weather delays kept the University of Iowa track and field team’s multi-event athletes from taking center stage but the 91st Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays still went on as planned on Wednesday afternoon inside Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Iowa had three athletes – sophomore Jenny Kimbro, junior Tria Simmons, and senior Will Dougherty – compete in multi-event competitions at the Texas Relays. Kimbro and Simmons were in the heptathlon while Dougherty was in the decathlon.
After the first day, Simmons is in seventh place with 3,216 points and Kimbro is in ninth place with 3,175 points, and Dougherty sits in eighth place in the decathlon with 3,838 points.
HEPTATHLON
Kimbro and Simmons competed in four of the seven events in the heptathlon on Wednesday.

DECATHLON
Dougherty completed half of the decathlon on Wednesday with five more events set for Thursday.
