Fayette Co. Man Charged After Burglary

MAYNARD, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A Fayette County man is facing charges after authorities said he burglarized a home near Maynard multiple times this month.

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office said 40-year-old Aaron Rochford of Maynard is facing charges of 1st degree theft, 3rd degree burglary (2 counts), and 2nd degree criminal mischief, all felonies.

Deputies said in early March they received a report of a burglary to a residence. They said over the next two weeks, the residence was entered several additional times and more items were stolen.

Investigators identified Rochford as a suspect and searched his home where they found some of the stolen items.

If convicted, Rochford faces up to 25 years in prison.
