John Deere Waterloo Evacuated After Furnace Issue

WATERLOO, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The Waterloo Fire Department responded to the John Deere Foundry at around 2 a.m. for reports of metal coming out of the furnace.

Crews evacuated people from the building after concerns that the furnace could possibly explode while boiling over.

The Waterloo Fire Department said the company was able to stop the spillage of metal on their own.

No one was hurt in the incident.
